Murdock Village Music Park

An interesting proposal has been made for part of the property in Murdock Village. Punta Gorda resident and long-time music promoter, Jay Goldberg, has proposed a Theater/Music Park to rival Branson, MO and to create up to 6,800 jobs. If this proposal can come to fruition, Charlotte County will become well known around the country and the world as a major tourist destination. The value of homes and real property in Charlotte County and the City of Punta Gorda as well as Port Charlotte, North Port and Rotonda will rebound and appreciate well.

Stone Crabs Baseball, 2011 Season

The Stone Crabs started the season off with an exciting win over the Bradenton Marauders. With a ninth inning rally, the Crabs sealed the victory and enjoyed a team celebration.

The winning hit was a well place drive by a new member of the Crabs, Mayo Acosta. Mayo did a fine job as designated hitter and if this is an indication, we look forward to a great season of clutch hitting.

Also showing his skill was retuning Crabs second baseman, Tyler Bortnick. Ty was all over the infield, making great plays and unbelievable stops! Unfortunately for us, if he keeps playing like that, he is not long for Port Charlotte!

The game was also attended by Stone Crabs’ owner, Cal Ripken who greeted fans and signed autographs.

GO STONE CRABS!
