Ed and his wife, Kim are among the hardest workers at our post. They volunteer a great deal of their time to make Post 5690 the best and friendliest in Florida. Come to breakfast on Sunday morning and meet Kim but it will be after she cooks you a great breakfast.

Bob is a regular at the canteen and is always ready to talk about his favorite team, the White Sox.

Jim is a tireless worker for VFW post 5690. He manages the canteen and oversees the staff. Jim Lesperance’s hard work is an important part of our success. He has helped make it “The friendliest post on the west coast”.

Roxy and his lovely wife Laurie are fun-loving visitors to the canteen. Roxy has donated his time and energy to make the post one of the best.

Jim is a loyal member of VFW post 5690. We enjoy his company at the canteen most days. Jim is always ready with a joke a smile and a laugh.

There is no bad seat in the house at the Trop. The weather is always perfect and the game is great. Pooh on those who complain about a dome… This is the most comfortable park in baseball!
The Rays move their spring training to Port Charlotte, FL this spring, 2009. Come join us at the new facility. Port Charlotte is a great place to live and with the Rays and their minor league team playing all summer, the town is getting even better. We are only a short drive to Englewood Beach and Punta Gorda is even closer. This is the town of southwest Florida’s future.
